Got the go ahead

I ran the vacation idea by Cody last night and he was all for it. Although, he was wanting Sea World as well. He made the comment that Branson was a much closer drive. Guess great minds think alike. Now, I did pick a package last night but I am going to see if I can find other packages and we'll go from there. I love to find the best deal I can.

I do love the hotel I picked out, but I was wanting something with a kitchen just because I really didn't want them to eat out everyday, all day. I can get a fridge in the room but that limits food. But, there is a waterpark at the hotel and the kids would love that. Guess I need to do a lot more research. It would be ideal to rent a cabin on Table Rock and then drive into Silver Dollar City.

Blake and I were talking today and we may go to Roaring River (Cassville, MO) and take the kids trout fishing....maybe??? There's a town somewhere around there where they have white squirrels everywhere.... gotta ask around for that one! We vacationed at an OK state park last year and the kids LOVED it! We may also go west to the salt plains and dig for salt crystals in western OK, but for us that could be a long day trip.

There's a place called The Woods or something there in Branson and they were supposed to be building an indoor waterpark too?? We stayed there in a cabin and it was NICE... totally weird circumstances, but it made for a luxurious trip! Oh and if you can the Dixie Stampede is totally worth it, be prepared to have leftovers though!!!! We'd love to go back there!

You're going to have a great vacation!

Have you ever been to Roaring River? We've been a few times and the kids like it. Be prepared, there is no cell phone service once you get down the hill. Cody likes the fishing there. I'm sure we'll be taking a trip there sometime this summer for a day or two.

Cody said that Dixie Stampede really didn't look that impressing to him. We'll see.
